Inaugural Fin Fever Rallies Student Body

The Jacksonville University student body packed the Swisher gymnasium for the Inaugural Fin Fever fan fest this past Friday night.
Dolphin hoops fans were treated to food and beverages, posters of both the men’s and women’s teams, rally towels and other prizes.
A JU faculty and staff game opened the evening with the professors draining a last second shot for the victory.
Both teams were then introduced and the men’s head coach Cliff Warren and women’s head coach Jill Dunn provided the fans with a pep talk to get the crowd excited. Fans in attendance were able to participate in contests and an on court autograph session.
“This was a great event,” JU Director of Marking & Promotions, Brian Freshley said. “It was a fantastic turnout and a good way to start the season. I want to thank our sports management class and the JU basketball staffs for the effort they put into making this event happen.”
“The faculty vs. staff game was hilarious. It was easily the best part,” said Lucas Meers, Communications Coordinator of Alumni & Parent Relations. “Hearing what Coach Dunn and Warren had to say really got me pumped to attend games. The whole event had the feel of one big pep rally. I really hope they continue doing this.”
