For iPhone enthusiasts Sept. 12 was an exciting day. It was the long awaited day that the iPhone 5 was announced, featuring a bigger screen, lighter and slimmer frame, faster processor and, for the first time, 4G LTE wireless connections.

Most were impressed by the redesign and reviewers had much to say about the gadget overall. Cnet.com described it as “sharp, slim and feather-light” and proceeded to praise the free turn-by-turn navigation. Low points of the new gadget for reviewers were the Apple Maps application and technical issues with Siri, such as delays or fetching the wrong data, according to the Huffington Post.

The iPhone 5 set a sales record with 2 million sold within the first 24 hours. Pre-orders sold out in less than an hour, according to a CNN article. This record of 2 million doubled the amount of the iPhone 4S in October  2011, making iPhone 5 the fastest selling Apple product ever released.
