Is that a chill in the air? Well if you weren’t sure from the fluctuating forecast, it is officially fall, and that means ‘tis the season to look hot even when it’s cold.

You can never go wrong with a classic look such as a turtleneck with a comfortable yet cute pair of jeans.

And if you are going for an edgy look, say no more because it’s all about size – oversize that is! A pair of jeggings with an oversized, off-the-shoulder sweater, parka or hoodie can do just the trick, and it wouldn’t be complete without your footing; try a pair of boots flats by day and heels by night! Chic and fun but also cozy and practical for any fall weather conditions.

“Pour Homme?” Of course the guys can’t be left out of the equation. For a more fashionable you during the season, the distinguished gentlemen look never goes out of style, and it is all in the fit. Pair a size appropriate V-neck, heavy-cotton tee to go under a pea coat with a pair of jeans with fit and structure. It’s time to leave the sneakers in the closet (or even outside or the garage); explore a pair of wingtips or finely crafted loafers, but if you must stay true to the kicks go with a statement pair such as society mid-charcoal wool sneakers.

Breaking news in the world of fashion: the one we hate to love and love to hate Mr. Chi-Town himself, Kanye West, premiered his fashion line for women “Dw” (named after his late mother Donda West) in Paris. The audience was filled with celebrities and friends of the Megastar and critics. Overall the line was described as cool, cutting, edgy and luxurious as one would aspect Mr. West to be.

High priced designers have finally gotten the clue that there are not as many people willing to purchase a $1500 white cotton t-shirt anymore, even if it is made with the world’s finest Egyptian Cotton and freshly stitched with gold and reeds from the Nile.

Designer Donatella Versace has just signed on to add a moderately priced line for men, women and home goods with H&M, and Christian Siriano, winner of Project Runway season four, has solidified a deal with Payless designing an exclusive line of affordable shoes and handbags.

Kim Kardashian and sisters Khloe and Kourtney have also designed a very fashionable line of ready-to-wear women’s apparel for Sears department stores. All pieces from the Kardashian Kollection are available for $150 or under and are currently available in 400 nationwide Sears locations.

With the current status of our economy, it’s safe to say that these changes in the fashion world are much needed, and it seems like everyone is getting in on it. Even celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe has a line on QVC, “fashionistas get in while the gettin’s good.”
